Disgusted with the way my claim was handled

I lodged a claim with Dialdirect after there was a ******* at my home. I was totally disgusted with the way my claim was dealt with. I submitted a police report that stipulated that two items had been ******, a TV and a bicycle. I was informed that the claim for the TV had been approved. However, I was informed to pay a Dialdirect supplier an amount of R2400,00 for a TV that is worth R3190,00. They want me to pay them more money on top of the monthly premiums that I have been paying. I have sent them two emails requesting them to pay the money so that I can buy my own TV and they have not responded. <br> Why should an insured be forced to pay more money to the insurer's agent when they submit a claim? <br> I am very disappointed by the way Dialdirect is conducting its claims.<br> Despite submitting the police report with the bicycle that was also ******, I was also informed that they need a receipt or proof of payment from the bank. I found this very disturbing as there was a police report that was attached to the claim. How can I still have a receipt for an item that I bought three years ago? What is the importance of the police report then? <br>
