Dialdirect - STEER CLEAR!!!!!!!!!!

After a 20 minute telephonic conversation to cancel my vehicle insurance effective 31 January, 2022, when checking the cancellation letter from Dialdirect, it stipulates that cover ceases at midnight on the 5th January, 2022. I then contacted their call centre to investigate why cancellation is effective 5Jan, I was informed that since the debit order goes off on the 2nd of each month, cancellation is effective immediately, otherwise I would need to pay another month's premium for Feb if cancellation is effective end Jan. What a load of BS!!! I've paid my premium for January and therefore cover should lapse at the end of Jan!!! I've instructed them to reimburse me pro-rata for Jan and to cancel my policy with immediate effect. What a bunch of *****S!!!
