Dialdirect markets themselves via opt-out SMS spam

Dialdirect thinks it's a great idea to market their business via SMS spam of the reply yes for a quote or reply no to opt out variety. Looks like they've crawled out of a cave and finally learned how to walk upright and use tools to the extent that they can text. Here's a top for you: It does not create a good impression of your business if you market yourselves at people, especially not via SMS spam. Stop this stone age mentality, and perhaps you won't have to deal with angry cavemen.

Hi the Dialdirect Team
There seems to be a misunderstanding. My complaint is not that you had my number on your system. My complaint is that you see it fit to market yourselves in this manner, in general.

It doesn't make things OK just because you take my number out of your contact list. The fact that I am on your contact list in the first place already sketches a ***** picture of your company in particular, and the fact that such contact lists exist sketches a ***** picture of South African companies in general.

Unless I gave you my number, you should not contact me on my number at all. These things should be opt-in, and not opt-out. Shame on you, and shame on South African companies who invade people's privacy like this as a matter of routine.
