Dialdirect claim denied

Hi

I have insurance with Dial Direct. I am very unhappy with thier service. I had to pay twice for parts for my geyser after I told the plumber that the geyser is making a water leak sound. He told me it is suppose to make me that sound , they sent a trainee to my house I now have a water bill of R5000.

To make matters worse I had to pay R650 to have a valve replaced and the"plumber" came much later than the time given. On top of it I loose hours of leave which I had to put in at work to accommodate the time given. I am very unhappy with their service as I pay them to sort this out for me, but now I have an extra expenses which if they replaced my geyser or if the plumber fixed it correctly the first time they came out which i also had to pay for parts, I wouldn't have had this issue. Now I have a high water bill as well as paying for parts twice.

I put a claim in for the high water bill as this is due to them sending out a trainee plumber unsupervised. i told him the geyser is making a weird sound he rep**** :"it normal". when the plumbers came out the past weekend 05/10/2018 and 06/10/2018 i was told a geyser should not make a sound or the valve that is. So i put in a claim for the water loss as it was their plumbers fault for not fixing it correctly the first time my claim was tossed out and i was told they don't cover for municipality bill of water loss. but when i insured with them i insured for everything geyser concerned.

Regards Hayley

Reviewer Update
Hi Just a update after being contacted by one of dial directs employees i sent through all the documents requested from me for investigation. They sent out another plumber to make sure it was the geyser that caused water loss and that there is no other leaks. the plumber came and confirmed that there is no other leaks. Now they refuse to take any responsibility for the water loss due to them sending a trainee unsupervised to fix my geyser in the first place. Now i am stuck with a bill of R5k that neither Dial direct or the plumbers want to admit it was their plumbers fault even though all the proof is there. I have never been this disappointed in client service. Hayley
