Dial direct and Jock autobody - I still haven't gotten my car back after 5 months
On 4 November 2022 I was involved in a car accident. To date I have not received my car back despite numerous calls, emails and follow ups. I sent an email on 22/03/2023 and was told that my car would be ready by that Friday 24/03/2023. My car was however NOT ready by the 24/03/2023 as promised. I emailed the disputes department on 24/03/2023 to follow up but there was no resolution to my problem.
I received a message on 29/03/2023 that my vehicle is ready for the quality inspection but that was the last communication I received.
I phoned in AGAIN today only to be told that there are still parts missing and that it has been ordered with no clear ETA from their suppliers. They suggested that I can come and collect the car however the workmanship might not be of the same quality and that i can bring the car back for the correct part to be fitted once it arrives.
This is not acceptable at all - to this day it has been 5 months since my accident and I still don't have my car back. I am paying insurance premiums for a vehicle that has not been in my possession for the last 5 months?????
I understand that Dial direct has preferred service providers (Jock Autobody in this case) to fulfil certain duties but surely this is unacceptable? As Dial direct entered into a contract with these service providers the onus should rest on them to make sure that they comply to all the relevant service level agreements?
I am extremely unhappy and frustrated as I get sent from pillar to post with no clear resolution and I am the one paying the price ****erally) for the incompetence of all the parties concerned
.
