Dial Direct (a Telesure company) is promoting ***** within its Operations!

Your contents insurer doesn’t have your best interest in mind, not when the supervisor overseeing your claim tells you ‘to make a claim against your building insurer because they would pay the customer more for the same fault’. Interestingly, this is the experience with Dial Direct (a Telesure company). Dial Direct (a Telesure company) doesn’t care about individual customers, all they care about is that you pay your premiums on time, so that they benefit from that and when something goes wrong, they look at every opportunity to fault the customer, before actually considering the impact to the customer.

Details of my complaint: Dial Direct (a Telesure company) was prepared to make me wait up to 5 days, for a supplier to assess the damage. • The insurer had no concern about the security of the home, even if my contents insurance was covered by them. Interestingly, CCTV footage assists in security issues but Dial Direct (a Telesure company) was willing for me to carry that risk, until such time they had someone available.

Details of my complaint: The supplier appointed by the insurer committed *****. • The supplier visited my property, assessed the damage caused by an Eskom surge and subsequently told me the report will be completed overnight and submitted to Dial Direct (a Telesure company) the next morning. After 48 hours, I followed up with Dial Direct (a Telesure company), only to be told the Eskom surge was my concern and that insurance wouldn’t cover the item damaged. • After a brief conversation with the Dial Direct (a Telesure company) supervisor and the supplier, I had learned the report wasn’t submitted the next morning as per said, the owner of the company had written the report on behalf of the visiting technicians and gave his own view as to what was wrong, thereby insinuating that the Eskom surge was my fault and that such damage couldn’t have been caused by the surge. The owner of the company couldn’t prove the component damage found in the CCTV hardware, thereby indicating that Dial Direct (a Telesure company) was happy with the outcome, even though that approach is tantamount to *****. • The supervisor then asked me to make a claim against my building insurer for equipment that wasn’t attached to my property, where I needed to **********ly claim against another insurer just to get paid out. • Dial Direct (a Telesure company) supervisor realised I had found a loophole in their process, then chose to settle the claim. I still had to find my own repairer that could fix or replace the hardware at the same settlement cost.

Conclusion: if you want to be terrible service, poor attitude, *****, supplier/insurer collusion and a settlement nightmare, stay with Dial Direct (a Telesure company), they will serve you well. Thank you Dial Direct (a Telesure company), I am now changing my contents insurance to another company, no thanks to you and I will never buy a Telesure product/service again.
