********* company & *********** staff. BEWARE!!
Guys, please take note and beware of these guys!!
Dial Direct recently rolled out an "Improved payback booster option" that "rewards you for driving less". - What a lie! The fact that this review only gets worse the more you read is sad....
My insurance premium is R 3200 a month for a 2018 Golf GTD and home contents. With the previous payback boosted I was required to do 8 trips a month and a couple of other nitty gritty things and I then earned 70% of my car premium back in cashback = R1928 a month.
With the new payback option there is no need to do ANY trips as you get rewarded for "Not driving at all" and for "driving less" - AT LEAST SO THEY SAY.!! Working from home means you basically maybe travel once or twice a week for groceries and the odd trip somewhere.
Here comes the kicker... on day you DONT DRIVE! I only earn R 16 a day in cash back, meaning if I never drove in the month, I'd only earn R 480 a month! Dial Direct pockets a lekker R1500 in savings every month!! Just from me! What are they not pocketing from their entire customer base. (This information BTW was hidden inside a link, inside a different link, in an attachment... Yet they believe they were "Open and Honest about the SIMPLE change". HOW!?!?
In short! THEY ARE FORCING YOU TO DRIVE 28 days out of the month! If you do not drive, you do not earn your full payback! Money they save!!!
The app was suppose to launch on the 1st of October, it only launched on the 4th of October. I've been fighting with them ever since after finding out I had been disqualified for all 4 days due to my phone's (Samsung S20+) built in battery saver, that comes standard with the phone being on, causing me to be disqualified. They refuse to add those 4 days back onto my cashback, although the app was launched late and I had no way of correcting the settings!! They also force you to KEEP YOUR BLUETOOTH ON 24/7 as a KEY REQUIREMENT OR ELSE... You guessed it! Disqualified and even more savings for them!
A Customer Service Manager has been assisting me, Rinolen, he has since gone on leave with no follow up and no manager in his place due to follow up - so I must just sit and wait until he is back...
As a result I decide to cancel my service at the end of October to move to a new insurer. I called the morning of the 8th of October asking my policy to be cancelled as I will be moving away after October. I receive no confirmation emails or ANY NOTICE that my policy has been cancelled!
On Monday, 11 October, I call again to enquire why my payback has been cancelled? The consult I spoke to on Friday, immediately cancelled my services, leaving me uninsured without my knowing and cancelled my pay back as well. Not once on call did she ask me for a cancellation date, confirmed a cancellation date or advise me of what she had done other than "Your policy has been cancelled, no further deductions will be made after the end of October".
I have since asked for the call to be escalated to a Manager to review as not only was a I left uninsured without knowing, I had lost yet another 2 days payback as my policy was "cancelled". I was sworn that a Manager would call me back. Guess what? No callback!
EVEN WORSE!! And this is no becoming a serious joke of a company!!!! EVEN WORSE!! My payback had been completely RESET!! As if I had only signed up as a new customer from the 11th!! Meaning the measly few days I had earned, had also been taken away from me!! AGAIN NO NOTICE, NO COMMUNICATION!!
Again I've been promised today, 12 October, that a Manager would immediately call me back.. It's been 2 hours and I am becoming ever more doubtful.
