Cancellation emails ignored and premiums over inflated

I signed up for the Value Added Product Services (VAPS) (i.e Scratch and dent etc.) in June 2017. Between June 2017 and Aug 2018 my premium for this VAPS increased 61% and I have never used it or claimed.

Based on the benefits vs premiums I realised the VAPS product is useless (so please anyone reading this seriously evaluate this product if you have it). I then tried to cancel the VAPS on the Daildirect self service login, no surprise it is not there. I then sent them an email to the email address on the policy for service requesting the cancellation (received their proof of receipt). I was not contacted further either by email or phone, come the next month the money is again deducted from my bank account. I now had to run after them to call them to cancel it (because, yes, I have nothing else to do in my life), the person at the call center then: 1. Has the audacity to now offer the premium at less than what I was paying when I signed up in 2017, how is that possible (so Dialdirect is not going to reward your loyalty and I was essentially being over charged for the past 2 years) 2. Then when I ask about the email that was ignored and I was charged again, she tells me about a "basket of emails" and mine hasn't been worked on (this is over 1 month later), so why does Dialdirect offer the email address? REMOVE it!!! Tell people straight from the beginning "Dialdirect ignores emails so please phone us". Don't waste my time and money (for extra premiums paid) if they going to ignore emails anyway.

After this experience I am seriously questioning if I am also being duped on the remainder of my policy with them. I have no guarantee that premium is not also over inflated.
