Can Dialdirect insure a car that has no valid registration?

I made a Thirdparty claim to Dialdirect in July 2018 and they rejected it refusing to share with me the results of their assessments as to who was at fault. But then i discovered the following 1. The vehicle that they are insuring had no valid registration - last registered in 2016. 2. Also discovered that the person driving the car was not the owner of the car. 3. The driver could not produce a valid drivers license or any ID at the scene or after the accident. When I relayed all this info to Dialdirect they refused to tell me who is the insurer of the car who I now suspect its the Driver not the owner. I had to open a ******** case against the Driver for reckless driving and the police had to trace him. I wrote to their Daildirect disputes resolution section only for them to give my complaint back to their claims section who refused to acknowledge this info in the first place. Then I wrote to their Ethics sections only to be ignored. I am currently investigating on my own as I have no monies for legal representation if Dialdirect is *******ly insuring a car that has no valid registration and if its ******* for Dialdirect to issue insurance to the insurer (driver) who could possibly have no legal residency documents? He is Zimbabwean.
