Being ********** by an insurance company

<p>My car was hijacked and&nbsp; recovered within 4 hours. I was able to identify it a few days after the incident where it was kept by the police. besides the handle that was broken when the vehicle was being hijacked nothing&nbsp; else was damaged.Dialdirect told me they would collect&nbsp; it in a weeks time which they collected it after a month or so and when I was called for assessment onmy car had been significantly damaged. at first I was told to pay for double my excess and eventually the basic excess. how is that possible that I should pay for damages that I do not know about and my car was just standing the for a&nbsp; very long time</p>
