Bad Service Dial Direct Insurance

Insurance is a contract in which an insurer promises to pay the insured party a sum of money if one or more specified events occurs in the future, in return for regular small payments - known as premiums. It reduces your business' exposure to the effects of particular risks. It also creates a sense of comfort to know in an unforeseen event you will not have any hasles or stress as you will be taken care of.

As noted below. Iam currently a client of dial direct. The main reason i took out insurance was to cover me for any unforeseen circumstances that i would not be able to afford when any insidents occur. Unfortunately i was a victim of ***** and my car was ******. On the 19 january 2017 i called my insurance to open a claim and provided them with my case number CAS 1119/01/2017. after calls made speaking to different people, giving me different information. I was then advised my car was recovered in pretoria on the 2 february 2017. On 3rd february 2017 i was advised to send a affidavit stating i grant the insurance permission to collect my car from the police pound where they will fix all damages and bring the car back to cape town. I received a courtesy vehichle from the insurer valid for 27 days. The delay of the claim was on the insurers side and i asked for an extention on the courtesy vechile until i am in the position of my own vehichle they only granted me an extention with another 5 days which mean the courtesy vehichle is due back on the 22nd february 2017 which leaves me in a situation whereby i am not able to get from a-b as i reside in mitchells plain, my kids attend school in wynberg, i work in newlands as well 2 days in the week i need to attend college. As per the insurer they denied extending the courtesy vehichle further than the above mentioned date. I am not in the position of my recovered vehichle. On 17february i get a call from jaques locksmith advising me that my vehichle is ready for collection as all damages was fixed and i need to pay R3000 for excess fees before they can release the vehichle. The insurer dial direct advised me they will make sure the vehichle will be send down to cape town. 3 days ago i call the insurer where they advised that i will be liable to get my car back to cape town where they will assist to buy me a flight and i need to drive my car back from pretoria, which means i need atleast two tanks of petrol to get my car back here. I am a female driver and they expect me to do this all by myself. Question is why do i have insurance? Does my insurer care about my safety? I have never driven from pretoria before how can they possibly expect me to do that? I am scared, stressed and the end result of this situation has caused me to get anxiety attacks as well as suffer from insomnia. I am unhappy and i will not tolerate this, dial direct will be accountable to get my car from pretoria and will cover all cost as this was promised to me. As a female i demand the right to be treated with respect and dignity and with all the run arounds and misleading information given on many occasions i just think it is right that someone assist me to get my car to me asap, baring in mind that i will pay the excess fees further than that my insurer will need to compensate me in this situation as it is close to a month that i have been dealing with this problem and this is just ridiculous. Kind regards, Miss MC Truter

thank you for your speedy response. please note that it just occured to me that no reports was send to me after an assessment was done on my damaged car. the person who called me advised me that he is infront of the car and he can only see that the back window was broken as well as there is no keys for the car which means the central locking needs to be fixed, i also asked him if the tape was still in the car and he said yes. this morning jaques locksmith ffrom the repair centre called me advising me that he needed to replace the tape. i am getting inconsistant information from too many people. please advise how do i know for sure that i need to pay R3000 for excess fees for the correct damages. please make sure i get a report send to me of the assessment that was done before i go ahead and pay this amount.

My email address is ********** I am still awaiting feedback as to when my vehichle will be transported back to cape town as well as the quote of the damages that needed to be fixed. The courtesy vehichle needs to be returned on wednesday the 22nd of february. I will not return this vehicle up untill i am in the position of my own vehichle. I politely suggest you make the needed arrangements for an extention on days for me to use this courtest vehichle. I will not put myself in a predicament where i have no transport. please get back to me asap. This type of service really drives one to seek a different insurance provider.

Mr Meyer it has come to my attention that this is the only way iam able to get in contact with you. i have tried calling you the entire morning and am loosing my patience. I received a message this morning advising me that the courtesy car is due today at 8pm and additional charges will be added to my name if i do not return this vechicle in time. please advise when you will extend the courtesy vehichle as it was suppose to be done yesterday already. I am really tired of this. i have to call you everyday, taking time out of my busy schedule when that should not be the case. I am highly irritated. I need answers and i need results not just broken promises.
