Another Wear & Tear by the same "Supplier"? Convenience I tell you
I Booked in my 22inch Dell monitor, due to it showing some "neat" purple & green lines all over my screen (which happened out of the blue when i switched it on) - My "lovely" insurance company advised me that a supplier will contact me to collect, and assess the unit. Supplier left with it on Friday the 25th of August, and today I got feedback saying "Manufacturer Default Wear & Tear" - Do not replace. So I ask the insurance, what does this mean, that this is the third consecutive time that a single supplier reports "Wear & Tear"? This sounds too me like something that is an easy way out... The insurance told me they are unsure of the meaning of the report, but they will find out... I did what every smart person would do, phoned the supplier directly, and they advised me that this "seems" like a component level failure, and my Dell monitor does not show any signs of accidental or physical and that the fault seems as "something that does not frequently happen on monitors" but it is in my case a component failure.....So the big scratch on the back of my monitor when it fell down a 1.3m high table, and the rust from liquid at the bottom of my monitor standing plate, seems like a unit without any signs of physical damage nor liquid damage and that it just "died" on me...this is the worst excuse I have ever heard and if i can tell anyone who not to use...NEVER USE DIAL DIRECT OR PARAGON COMPUTERS - Because three times in a row, they clearly do not know what they are talking about... I don't know if the supplier has been advised up front to reject most claims due to wear & tear, but this is just "too easy".
