Another ****!

I processed a claim for a battery and invertor which were damaged due to power surge. These two products are covered under the house hold content (in my view). To my shock, I'm told that since they were mounted on the wall they are not household content but rather are regarded as part of the building and should be covered by building insurance. How? when we mount TVs and several items in the house and this is for security reasons. these items were add on and should I move its an option whether I want to take them along or remove them. they are easily ****** that's why one mounts them for security. Apparently because they are connected to the DB box, then it should be on the building insurance.

I'm so tired of insurance companies and technicalities. I honestly don't have energy to be fighting, I'm exhausted. in the few years that I have been with them and paying all was well cause they were gaining, now at my worst time I should be arguing whether they are mounted or not. so, the other mounted items are not covered since all electronics are connected to the DB, nothing electronical is not connected. so its all good when one pays until you need to claim. I'm looking for another insurance!

What do you mean by escalated? The same guy just called to confirm exactly what I wrote above.
I checked the policy schedule in terms of what is covered in each room, and the garage specifically where both these items were, they have 'power tools'. now my question is both these items are power tools as they are add on to supply power just like a generator that one can lift and plug in or mount to secure it and both items are movable, one can cut them off and ***** them.
