Took my deposit and did not show up for the job

Dial a contractor were very persistent and contacted me frequently up until I accepted one of their referrals and paid the deposit. On the day that contractor, Stach Logan, was meant to start work he called and said his staff were in an accident and he will reschedule. That was the last I heard from him and Dial a contractor soon employed a similar tactic.

I informed Dial a contractor of this and was told they would try and get hold of the contractor and if they could not then they would log a complaint with their complaints department. They then also stopped contacting me, I hold Dial a contractor responsible as they not only referred me to the contractor but assured me that he was a good contractor. I therefore did not do my homework as I trusted dial a contractor. You don't have to do much to find out all you need to about the contractor, Stach Logan, just look on this site. After all Dial a contractor didn't have to accept all contractors. In the end I would have been better off just using google.

I did wonder about their "insurance" but they were no longer interested in communicating with me. Save that is for their spam emails. Which I still receive and which is what inspired me to tell my story. After me asking to be taken off their contact list and citing the emotional response of being reminded of a trauma I would've thought that it would be the least they could do however my optimism proved false.
