Most pathetic service

I'm experiencing poor service from the manager Bernadette after complaining about the inferior work one of the company's contractors left me with. They called Tornitz and I dealt with Clive on Monday 10th July 2017 to complete my kitchen renovations. I have phoned Dial a contractor several times leaving urgent messages to contact me back regarding solutions and nothing and even after I've sent pics of the poor work. This company guaranteed excellent delivery and sound promising by their website, which Of cause caught my attention. Up until now I've received pathetic service and as a client I'm left running after a company. I want a solution to this otherwise next I'm referring this company to Carte Blanche.

We apologise if the customer feels her matter was not receiving the attention it deserves. We will investigate our internal procedures to see how we can speed this up.

As the customer is aware we sent her the contact details of a number of contractors. She negotiated directly with each of the contractors and we are not a party to these agreements. The customer made the decision which contractor she would contract with and what the scope of the work would be. The contractor supp**** a labour only quote. The contractor completed the work and once the customer was satisfied she paid him the R1600 due for the work completed. A few days later the customer said she was unhappy with the work and sent us pictures of the work she was unhappy with. The contractors immediate response was to say why would she pay him if she is unhappy with the work. Furthermore the contractor alleges the pictures sent were not his work but that of the other contractor and that they were not a part of the original scope agreed between the parties. He said he is quite happy to repair any of the work he did but that he is not prepared to do any extra work not quoted for. For the record we have not received complaints from any other customers about the quality of this contractors work. This is the background to the dispute between the contractor and the customer.

We advise all our customers to ask for a detailed quote with full details of what needs to be done. We also offer to look at the quote so that we can try and pick up any omissions or errors. Our advice was ignored. Our offer to review the quote was ignored. Without these documents ( a clear record of what was agreed) it makes it very difficult for us to comment as it is the customers word against the contractor. Without proper documentation or a willingness on the part of both parties to find an amicable solution it is difficult to resolve this. If the customer calculates a value to the outstanding work we are willing to negotiate with the contractor to see if he will agree to a refund for the portion of the work the customer alleges was not completed. We do our very best to assist & resolve situations like this as quickly as possible whilst being fair to all parties concerned.
