Bad service

We had tiling done in april 2017 using the services of dial a contractor, was advised that we receive FREE building insurance up to R300 000 for ANY Damages caused by the tiler, murphys law they broke my toilet and i needed to buy a new one, contacted dial a contractor , firstly they said they knew nothing about the builders insurance and then weeks later emailed me to say we need to pay R1000 excess.. now the tiler has to come and replace tiles and do snag list and he no longer does tiling and advised that i should obtain a tiler via dial a contractor but to date i have emailed and phoned and left messages for someone to call me. Nobody calls or answers you. Really dont know how they can be in business this long with this type of service. I thought that going via this option it would eliminate the stress but alas it caused more stress than me just finding a tiler without the dial a contractor as the middle man. Will definately not recommend them to anyone

This facts as stated are incorrect. We have gone to extraordinary lengths to assist the customer. On the 10th July 2017 at 14h19 the customer provided us with the information we needed to assist the customer in resolving his dispute with the contractor. We spent 2 weeks negotiating with the insurers and with the contractor and reported back to the customer on 20 July 2017 at 08h49 advising him that the contractor would cover the costs of the damage as the claim was lower than policy excess. We heard nothing more until 17 August 2017 when the customer advised us that the contractor must replace 10 tiles. We negotiated with the contractor and he agreed to do so. On 6 September 2017 the customer sent us an email to say that the tiles had not been delivered. 43min later the customer listed us on Hello Peter without giving us the opportunity to investigate and intercede.

No this is not incorrect.. you have never answered my emails or phone calls. You have posted this response very quickly but you have never come back to me as to the way forward. why is this??? I would appreciate an email to confirm what is the way forward. All i wanted was the tiles to be replaced, i have emailed you and asked you if you wil be sending out a tiler as the contractor asked us to get another tiler but to date you have ( as stated previously in the post) ignored my emails and phone calls. Kindly advise when will this be done as i would appreciate an update.

With respect your allegations are untrue and unfounded. We have copies of correspondence to substantiate same. We have done everything in our power to assist you in recovering the 10 tiles and have expended extraordinary resources in negotiating with the contractor on your behalf. We have no insight into the contract between the parties and have acted in your best interests at all times.
