I bought a Sealy Crown Jewel bed in 2009 for about R7000. In February the base broke and the mattress had already collapsed over the passed months in 2014. When we contacted the shop we were advised that we needed to pay R5700 plus R645 in warranty fees which is almost equal to the purchase price of the bed. I feel that this supplier is trying to run away from their warranty obligation. We were also asked whether the mattress has stains and when we confirmed that we were than advised to pay the amounts mentioned above. How is it humanly possible that one can keep a bed for 10 years without encountering any stains on the mattress? Especially if you have kids? We were never advised about this condition when we bought the bed in 2009. Why is this new condition only made available to us now when we have a warranty claim?
