Dail-a-bed, dail-a-sorrows
I ordered a bed in February 2018 and paid a deposit. I gave clear instruction that it must be delivered on 31 March 2018 as I was in the process of relocating to Krugersdorp. With the delivery on 31 March the mattress was dirty and torn and the base was torn. They duly collected the bed and replaced it with a cheaper model and not the one that I had ordered which I asked to be collected. They again collected the bed and returned the old bed which they had cleaned and had mended the torn part. Dail-a-bed 's advertising slogan is 100 NIGHTS AND YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR BED IF YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED! At the shop at Princess Crossing , we had on various occasions told the salesman, Patrick, that we are not happy with the bed and was told that WE NEED TO GET USED TO THE BED. On 15 June - still far from 100 nights (only expires on 10 July), we were told that we cannot change the bed for something else because the 100 nights had expired. They calculated the 100 nights , not with the delivery date of the bed but when we paid a deposit on the bed. We can only change the bed under the warranty i.e. if something is wrong with the bed. THIS IS *****! The 100 nights start when you take possession of the bed, not when a deposit is paid. I am so sick of being de*****ed by businesses. They make wonderful promises BUT always have "back doors" to escape their responsibility. Be very careful. There is a saying "if it sounds too good to be true, it normally is". I will definitely avoid doing business with Dail-a-Bed ever again and will definitely not recommend them to anybody.
