You can’t rely on DHL
Disappointed. Ordered a carrier from Amazon to be used for a function on Saturday 18th of August. The delivery information stated it would be delivered on Friday 17th, confirmed via SMS. Made arrangements to be home the whole day to make sure delivery was received. At 4:26pm I get a message to say delivery attempted but no contact made by DHL to me or our estate security. I suspect no attempt to deliver was made as everyone was available and waiting for the order. Phoned DHL when I received the SMS and the lady on the phone confirmed that the delivery agent would come back today to ensure I received my item on time. By 8pm, nothing received. What is the point of having SMS and telephonic conversations and confirmations if DHL do not honor their word?

I understand that one of the ops supervisors delivered the shipment to you last night around 21:00. The matter will also be investigated and corrective action taken where it is required to ensure that this does not happen again.
