Why pay double for Express Delivery?
I ordered a parcel from Amazon (20 April) to the value of R500. As I needed it urgently I decided to pay the R700 for express delivery. No delays and the parcel arrived in PE on Sunday 26th. As then indicated on the tracking site, I was expecting the parcel to be delivered on Tuesday 28th, but DHL then gave it to RAM couriers for delivery. Instead of driving 280km directly to Graaff-Reinet, RAM decided to take the parcel on a joyride down the Garden Route, via George, to Cape Town. 3 days later and the parcel is now in Beaufort West and will only be delivered on Monday 4th (as RAM do not deliver on Saturdays). 14 days and an extra 1500km by road later.

Why do you use RAM couriers if there are at least 3 other companies who do daily deliveries directly from PE to Graaff-Reinet, and some even on Saturdays?

And why do I pay extra for express delivery when it is clearly not express?
