WHAT HAPPENED TO MY DOCUMENTS

My original birth cert and marriage cert together with those of my husband were returned to us from our insurance company in Ireland via the not so reliable hands of DHL, who it would appear destroyed them with ever attempting to deliver same to us, no explanation given. These were our ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS, how can they simply have been destroyed, DHL have never contacted us to offer an explanation, or to address our concern re identity theft should these documents be floating around out there. Will somebody from DHL kindly address our concerns and utter frustration.
