Very bad and unprofessional service

I was involved in a big accident with an interlink DHL truck, the truck driver decided to fled from the accident. Where my car was swerved over hitting a robot with the front of my vehicle, so in result I couldn’t chase the truck myself. Luckily there were 3 angel ladies, they stopped, one stood by me and the other 2 ladies followed the truck and took photos of his number plate and also truck. The one lady wrote her statement to Commrisk advising that she saw the truck slammed brakes and then drove off with a speed of approximately 80km/h.

Long story short, we came in contact with DHL where they advised us to work with Commrisk! What a terrible experience I had. They are covering up for the driver and the 2 ASSISTANTS with him so bad that after 2 months I still don’t even have a name and everyone at DHL is refusing to speak to me. I want to open a case against the driver but no assistance from Commrisk.. I had 2 statement from 2 of the witnesses advising what happened on the day of the accident, the words of the claims advisor – “That doesn’t mean anything, the employee is innocent until proven guilty” Now I ask you, how can 2 independent people write statements and it doesn’t mean anything, they said they want video footage .. Luckily for me, there is footage but now I ask you, what if it happened on a road where there were no cameras?? Then the employee will get away with reckless and negligence driving and putting other people’s lives in danger on the road.

So, the claims consultant advised me that he needs a DHL representative to also view the footage in order for him to give feedback to Commrisk and he will then write a report for me and the insurance. We viewed the footage on Thursday 05/04/2018 (together with the driver’s manager). Till today I don’t have feedback on a report, just that they are still busy with investigation? What investigation do you need more, you have witness statements, you have video footage, you have a police report? The truck that the driver was driving was not in a working condition as the alarm didn’t go off when he bumped me, now that is their argument their alarm on the truck did not go off. Now I ask you, my car has R111 000.00 worth of damage and the truck’s alarm did not go off? So, they are putting people’s lives in danger with trucks which are faulty!!

2 months later and the driver is still driving trucks of DHL because the words of the manager on the 05/04/2018 “We cannot suspend a driver because then he gets paid for work he doesn’t do”

This is unacceptable, so you will rather have a reckless driver driving trucks and put people’s lives in danger than to suspend him while the investigation is in progress. I call this very unprofessional.
