Lack of communication and delayed delivery
Waybill number ***
This parcel arrived in South Africa on the 17th of March.
I was not contacted via phone or email to arrange clearance so on the 22nd I phoned and followed up on the progress. I was informed that I would be emailed with the requirements.
On the 23rd I received an email requesting a commercial invoice and proof of payment, this was sent through on the 24th.
I emailed Enos again on the 30th to follow up and sent another email on the 31st, still no answer. I eventually phoned and got hold of Enos after the 5th phone call, I was informed that all documents had already been submitted on the 24th and that clearance can take up to 5 business days.
I have once again sent an email early this morning to follow up, but I'm still awaiting a reply.
This service is unacceptable from a large company such as DHL, I have never had any problems with their service before.
Assistance would be much appreciated
Good day Jennifer
I would like to apologise for all the inconvenience caused to you regarding your delayed shipment, the delay was due to a backlog at Customs and I will insure that I escalate the matter to the Customs Manager. Once any requested information or documents have been submitted to Customs they take 5 working days to respond.
Kind Regards
