Invoice recieved without authorisation
I ordered parts from Hong-Kong last month. The supplier arranged shipping, and the parts arrived in SA within 2 days.

BUT THEN: They sat in customs for a week while I tried to get hold of DHL to find out what the delay was. Every day I got an email to say there was a \customs exception\", and they were waiting for my response.
Well, it's impossible to respond when every time I phoned they either put me on hold or transferred me to a line that rings continuously without answer (allegedly the customs department). I lodged a complaint on their website to this effect, but no response there either.

Eventually, though the parcel arrived on it's own - although I never did get through to DHL to find out what the delay was.

HOWEVER: Today (a month later) I get an invoice to pay customs clearance fees! IF they'd contacted me for authorisation and IF I'd authorised it, I'd have no problem paying these fees. But unless they can explain to me WHY they released the package without my express consent, these charges are *******. I know that I didn't give consent, because I never managed to get through to their customs department!

Tracking number (Was) ***."
