I just want my shipment!
Me and my family saw some nice dresses online and that's when we decided to buy and paid a lump sum of R17k including transport. We were excited to about our purchase and couldn't wait to see the merchandise. On this day....DHL sent me an email advising that our shipment is at customs and we should pay R11k, that was a blow on our face as we were not expecting to further pay anything for our dresses as its our 1st time buying so we know nothing about the procedures. We were all surprised by this charge and I then contacted DHL and spoke to Glen Manzani Mavodze whom I have discussed with my predicament situation and after checking he advised that the shipment was clared incorrect. Transport monies of $371 was included when declaring meanwhile the shipment value is $7.... He then sent an email to both myself and customs to amend the value however it did not happen on a 1st request. I made a further follow up with them it still yielded no positive result. Instead they kept on emailing me that I need to pay R11k meanwhile the correction or VOC is not done, how do you expect me to pay when the shipment is declared incorrect? I them spoke to again to assist as the clearance is still on hold. Glen sent them another email after speaking to Kekanetswe Ruele at customs and that was the 1..... he also indicated to k.... that how do you collect money with wrong amount on proforma, he also highlighted a concern that on their reminder emails they kept on saying if shipment is not cleared within 14 days there is a penalty of R5000. I am still shocked and amazed by the customer servive I have received from Kekanetswe Ruele aka Nunu. VOC was done on the 21 after Glen spoken to then again and a new proforma with an amount of R7k wss then sent to me. I rep**** that since we were not expecting any further charges on this shipment can I please pay it on the 24 may 2019 which is still within the very same week. I paid R7975.13 as agreed on the 24 and was expecting our shipment afterwards. DHL showed me flames on the 25 May 2019 I then another email saying I have been billed penalty of R5000 with a law language that I do not understand as a normal person. I then emailed Tebogo Ntlebi back to question where is our shipment and why am I being billed R5000 and under what ground still to date still waiting for response and our shipment. DHL is this how you treat all your customers? Your slogan is saying fast simple delivered however I am experiencing something different or its because I am not a base Customer of yours? All I want is our shipment period. We did all we could that shipment gets cleared with correct amount however the rest was up to DHL to process which did not happen as me and Glen asked that It should be amended. I want my shipment urgently as we have a wedding to attend on the 1st June and I also need feedback of this matter as the way it was handled it was incompetence and showing no customer service experience.
