Granny doesn't get Christmas decorations, just a customs notification.

<p>The contents of the Christmas parcel were two hanging Christmas decorations (made by myself). I had declared these items in great detail at the Postnet office in Plattekloof.</p> <p>They were going to my grandmother of 103 years age, at the old age home, and were supposed to arrive before Christmas, hence the method of transport at a high fee.</p> <p> </p> <p>I had sent the parcel on the 21st of December, at a cost of R380, to assure that they would arrive in time for Christmas. The tems were purely sentimental, as my grandmother insists that she could die at any time.</p> <p> </p> <p>Instead of receiving her parcel, she received a notification from customs asking her to pay a duty on the parcel.</p> <p> </p> <p>Ironically I had sent similar items to my mother the day before. She also lives in Austria, and hadd received hers with no problem.</p> <p> </p> <p>With lengthy and uniformative communication to the DHL customer service, we still have no resolution on the 3rd of January.</p> <p> </p>
