Extremely disappointed with DHL

I don't get why a big company like DHL uses a poor courier service company like RAM.I was supposed to receive a parcel on Monday but the RAM company said they would need to process it so they called me in the morning on Tuesday asking me if I would be home ,that they would deliver the same day .Around 2pm I called them and they said it's out for delivery I should expect it before 5pm.Before 5pm I contacted them again and they said it's on the courier I should wait. Around the same time I called DHL to confirm and indeed it was on the courier ,that I would receive it before the day ends.When it was around 7pm I checked and then saw that they wanted to confirm my address .When I called the RAM people in the morning,the story has changed ,suddenly they dont have my contact details yet they had no problem contacting me the previous day and the address is there on the parcel but they said they didn't have it .Now they are saying they will deliver tomorrow but I don't know what to believe now. These people spent the whole day lying to me .I offered to come and collect it on my own but they said I can't. I had so much faith in DHL and I am so disappointed.
