Does DHL no longer make home deliveries?
I ordered a DNA kit via the MyHeritage website which was supposed to be couriered to my house. My address and cell phone number were provided. MyHeritage uses DHL as their courier. After waiting 2 months I checked the website to determine the status only to see the statement from DHL that my kit was “ready for collection”. This is unacceptable as my expectation was that it would be delivered to my home. At no point did DHL try to contact me in order to deliver the kit to my home. Since when does DHL no longer make home deliveries! I am extremely peeved by this as only by chance did I check the delivery status. I certainly did not anticipate having to collect the parcel myself from some collection centre, especially since I live out of town.

30 Mar 2026, 09:54I received a call from DHL express regarding the abovementioned issue which I really appreciated. They have offered their support in resolving the issue; however, it seems that the fault lies with MyHeritage in not explaining their delivery options adequately. In addition, if my understanding is correct, MyHeritage uses DHL International and not DHL express, (which is a different entity under the DHL umbrella) so this is no reflection on the service provided by DHL express.
