Disgusting Service
I have recently sent a box of my personal belongings home to South Africa, having been stuck in the UK under lockdown. DHL is insisting that my husband is importing my worn clothing and personal effects and must now pay import duties to the tune of R27600.My husband spoke to DHL yesterday morning on the number in the message to advise that he is not an importer and that this parcel belongs to me, his wife, which contains my personal clothing and effects from my time spent in the UK under lockdown. Why am I being asked to pay import duties on my own personal worn clothing?
My husband advises that DHL South Africa, were not interested in what he had to say.. And that DHL insisted that as he is the importer he needs to complete the import forms and pay the import duties? DHL South Africa this morning have advised that my box is still in London when it was due to be delivered to Durban today... I am now wondering where my goods are and how I get them back. No one can advise and no phone numbers or email addresses work. My contact number in the UK is ***. I AM DISGUSTED WITH THIS SERVICE. JOANNE GREY
