DHL unreasonable fees

I sent a parcel with DHL early March 2021 from Cape Town to Libreville Gabon. At the time of sending i was told by the postnet agent that upon arrival there would no additional DHL charges only import duties taxes. The value of the parcel sent was R925 and I paid DHL Cape Town R790. The parcel arrived at Libreville and my sister was told to pay the equivalent of R2200 for the parcel to be released. We queried that fee because it was a bit excessive as import duties. DHL Libreville then sent a breakdown of the invoice and there was DHL charges to the equivalent of R1400 and import duties R800. The DHL agent that has been handling the case Violet Lekoto was horrible on the phone and her emails weren't better. She first argue with me on the phone saying that DHL doesn't charge extra fees but she would follow up with destination country. I then sent her the copy of the invoice sent by DHL Libreville clearing stating the DHL fees charged mentioned above. Then she rep**** back that the destination country advised that they do charge that fee plus import duties and i should make payment for the parcel to be released. I feel this is bad service because i was clearly told no extra fee will be due to DHL at destination country, and those fees are even higher than what I paid from Cape Town. Why would I pay over R2000 DHL fees plus import duties for a parcel valued at R925? I don't have money to pay for that extra fee and i only made provision for the import duties fees. I am very disappointed with DHL pricing and service at this stage.
