DHL TOO BIG TO CARE
Failing to deliver a parcel as per their tracking website. On June 1st 2022 I traced the parcel i was expecting on the DHL tracking website. It indicated that the parcel had been received by DHL East London at 08:47 and forwarded to a third party agent at 08:57. The estimated delivery date indicated that the parcel would be delivered the following day June 2nd 2022, "before close of business." Because of this promise I put my life on hold for the day with the expectation of the receiving this parcel. Needless to say I waited at home the whole day and the parcel was not delivered as promised. When I contacted DHL at 09:36 this morning 03 June 2022 to find out why the parcel was not delivered as indicated on the tracking results, I was informed that the parcel had been handed over to a third party and would be delivered "some time today". I then asked how I could lodge an official complaint with DHL and I was given the number *** which I duly called at 09:41. When I told the lady who answered that I wanted to speak to someone in the complaints dept. After a long hesitation she put me through to a line that rang and rang. After holding on for 10 minutes for someone to answer i eventually gave up. From my perspective, it is very clear that because of DHL's monopoly in the courier business that they are not interested in customer complaints so that can improve their shoddy service to their customers that have little or no way of communicating their dissatisfaction.
