DHL Pathetic service

So I made a purchase in the United States and the package arrived in South Africa on Monday to be delivered to me on Tuesday however its Thurdsday today and still the parcel hasnt been delivered to me and when I called customer care I was told that DHL doesnt deliver at Umlazi because its a hotspot for hijacking. My problem is why wasnt I told this before DHL took my full shipping fee? I was told by DHL that my parcel was forwaded to a third party courier service that only delivers in my area on Fridays. When I offered to come fetch my parcel from the debot I was told that I was not allowed to do so. THIS IS REALLY PATHETIC!!!! how can I wait 4 days for a package that is just sitting and collecting dust at a depot? and I am not allowed to fetch my own parcel that I paid a full premium for? I AM VERY VERY DISSAPOINTED!!!!
