DHL package on hold for a month

I usually do not go to this extend to do a review on a company but DHL has dropped the ball by keeping my parcel on hold n the UK because of a allegedly dangerous item shipped from the USA. Firstly they can't tell me what it is. Secondly it's been a month and they did not notify me, it was shipped 2 - 5 days express btw Thirdly they email me once a day for the last week telling me they are working on it.

I have already paid the VAT for my countries customs in South Africa, its an expensive parcel with equipment inside that I need for clients. My history overall with DHL is broken boxes and broken parts inside because of rough handling now this. I hope to hear from them soon with a solution. I know shipping companies are logistically hard to manage but this is ridiculous
