DHL not caring about the little guy

I recently shipped a package to Nigeria. I provided every single invoice for every item in the package. DHL accepted to ship the package. When it arrived in Nigeria, customs decided, out of thin air, that I **** about the value and valued an item in the parcel to be 10 times the value of what I paid and what it is worth. I have had an argument with DHL for probably 3 weeks now. Although I know they are not in control of customs and they have been prompt to respond daily with feedback, I don't get the feeling that they have used their influence to show Nigerian Customs the error in their ways. I explicitly asked them to lodge a formal complaint about the ******ion and ***** that was happening, but they didn't. I even escalated the query to DHL Nigeria where they clearly have not read or understood the message and provided me with a generic response that didn't resolve anything. I furthermore asked them to destroy the package and provide me with proof, but that they also cannot do. DHL should have quite the influence as an international business, they should understand that I purchased the items online and apart from invoices and screenshots of what I paid, I cannot provide an actual physical receipt. I even provided my credit card statement to show the amount correlate with the invoice. I don't think they had empathy for my plight.
