DHL is using SAPO
Please do not get international parcels delivered via DHL Ecommerce. They deliver to SAPO and that is a complete waste of money. Rather they throw it away at origin and charge a $2 disposal fee than a $30 shipping fee never to deliver.

Please note that these shipment do not transit with DHL Express but a more affordable service by Economy Service - Global mail . DHL assist’s by transiting these shipments into their destination countries, but upon arrival they are handed over to your Local Post office to deliver . Had the supplier have selected for the Express Service and paid the premium rate – The shipment would have transited on our Express Network , via Express Service and delivered door to door – As in the Service we provide. Unfortunately due to Economy Service selected for these parcels, DHL does not have visibility on the transit of these shipments . You can follow up with Global mail on ***and quote your reference number gm*** and they will provide you the current status of your shipment , as well as a local tracking number you can use when tracking your shipment with the Post office . 10 Jan 2019, 14:05Yeah, it doesn't help. The supplier had specific instructions not to use a shipper that touches the south african post office. Because you are not transparent in what you are doing, the parcel ended up in the black hole that is SAPO. You should know that you cannot hand parcels over to SAPO. Just have a look at the reviews. Why does DHL even offer that option if you know what is going on there. I still have two parcels outstanding with SAPO after 18 months. It is just ridiculous that you can even charge for such a service. You deserve every bad review you get because of it, as DHL as a courier company knows what is going on at SAPO.
