DHL is Useless
I bought a expensive gift from New Zealand.Its now 6 months later.I heard nothing from DHL.I contacted them to hear where the packet is.No reply.I contacted then the head of DHL and then i got a phone call.They then told me that customs took my packet and i need to pay a fine of R1500. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! O had to wait 6 months and DHL never contacted me on the situationmThe gift i bought was for a kid and the gift will probably not fit anymore!So i waisted a lot of money.Useless!

Thank you for taking the time to post to us.
Please be advised that your shipment came with an invoice that does not meet customs requirements. The imports team tried to reach you a number of times in January without success, they then informed the shipper of this and that the shipment would be sent to the states warehouse if we do not get the correct invoice. The past two weeks my colleague has been trying to assist you resolve this matter but you put the phone down on her and you do not respond to her emails.
The shipment is accumulating storage fees and there is a penalty for late clearance payable. I will also send you an email, please do respond with how you would like us to proceed.
In as much as we endeavor for positive Customer experience’s, we do not regulate nor control Customs Laws – These are regulated by government officials in each country and DHL has to abide by their rules and regulations.
