DHL failing to send package & refusing to help
<p>On 29 January, I ordered a product (a mouse pad) from the US. The package was to be shipped via DHL.</p> <p> </p> <p>The last tracking information available on DHL's site is dated 1 February, and says "Processing completed at origin" at Compton, CA, US.</p> <p> </p> <p>After that, nothing. Silence.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have phoned DHL several times for assistance. They simply shrug and tell me to take it up with the seller. But OBVIOUSLY the package is not with the seller. It was last seen with DHL. They have simply decided to leave my package lying on the floor somewhere instead of shipping it. Perhaps they feel a mouse pad is too heavy to pick up off the floor?</p> <p> </p> <p>How hard can it be to just find out where the package is, and then deliver it as they promised to do? And if they can't find it, why do I have to ask the seller for a refund? DHL, not the seller, is at fault.</p> <p> </p> <p>In fact, the only mistake the seller has made is to choose DHL for their international shipping.</p> <p> </p> <p>Bonus complaint: I have a second package being shipped to me via DHL from Germany, and there has been no tracking information whatsoever since the very beginning. I don't even know whether the package will arrive, or in which country it is.</p>

We have had a look at your case and can see that your shipment has been sent via Global mail as a non Express shipment and not via DHL Express.
This parcel is therefore delivered via the South African postal service and not via courier.
This shipment has been sent via DHL Global mail as a non Express shipment and not via DHL Express.
This parcel is therefore delivered via the South African postal service and not via courier . To track a shipment sent via this service you can go to DHL.co.za and click on the mail division and then on DHL paket tracking. Please see below screen shot as confirmation of your shipment tracking.
Once shipment arrives in the country, you need to contact the South African Post office ***), with your local tracking number and they will advice you of your shipment whereabouts. These shipment’s can take up to 1-2 months to be delivered .
We would love to be of assistance, unfortunately since the shipment is not going through our network, we have limited visibility on the whereabouts of the item .

Where is my package RIGHT NOW? Your tracking indicates the package has not been handed over to the Post Office. So where is it?

The local tracking number will be at the top screen shot i sent you via e-mail yesterday . I suspect it's that number that starts with UM tracking that has digits inbetween and ends with 2 alphabets. The Post office can even help confirm that for you .
Once you've confirmed that number , they will be able to assist with tracking your shipment . Post office contact Number : ***).

I have tried several times to phone the post office but I can't get through. I don't however see why this is my responsibility. DHL is the company who promised to deliver my package. It is up to DHL to contact the post office and get me my damn package.

It has now been over three months since my package was sent. Still nothing.
The tracking number in the email you sent me is NOT the local tracking number! It is the tracking number IN THE USA.
YOUR name is on the shipping service. YOU sort it out. FIND MY PACKAGE AND GET IT TO ME.
