DHL failed to correctly fill out my customs papers
<p>I sent a box of my daughters baby clothes to my pregnant sister overseas, and had to pay $620 to clear the box because DHL said i paid $886 to send the shipment which is *******. I still have the slip to prove I paid $300. How can DHL - whose business is freight, make such a bad mistake and cost me money? </p> <p> </p> <p>And I had to pay storage even though we were calling DHL daily to find out why the box wasnt clearing customs. No service, and they cost me money. Shocking. I want DHL to refund me my shipping costs because they cost me double that to clear it.</p>

The customs official advised us to inform DHL to correct their invoice in order for them to correctly recalculate the customs fees. I have not paid the $620 yet, as I am hoping this figure changes when the matter is clarified.

Although Charmaine was helpful, I had to spend two and a half weeks on the matter almost every day to resolve it with DHL personally, whilst my sister tried to engage with DHL Brazil.
My 6 month pregnant sister had to spend two days at the airport, including getting the customs papers from DHL to give to customs herself - in her pregnant state, because DHL Brazil said 'its not their job', and was charged by DHL Brazil to fix the freight charge to get original papers (the very mistake that lead to the delay). World class freight service - maybe not.
