COMPLAINT AGAINST DHL EXPRESS
DHL EXPRESS IS A **** THAT'S TRYING TO ******* CLIENTS. I PURCHASED SNEAKERS FROM FARFETCH FOR AN AMOUNT OF R3323. 00 OF WHICH SPECIFICALLY STATED THAT SHIPPING IS FREE. NOW, DHL IS DEMANDING AN AMOUNT OF R1900 IN ORDER FOR THEM TO COURIER MY SNEAKERS, OF WHICH IT IS ALMOST 90% OF THE VALUE OF THE ITEM, I PURCHASED, WHICH DOESN'T MAKE SENSE AT ALL. THEY CLAIM THAT THEY DO THEIR CALCULATIONS BASED ON THE VALUE OF THE ITEM, MEANING THAT IF ONE PURCHASED AN ITEM WORTH R12000, HE/SHE WILL BE EXPECTED TO PAY EXTRA R11000 TO RECEIVE THE ITEMS. THAT'S A TOTAL ****. THERE ARE MANY LEGITIMATE COURIER COMPANIES IN SOUTH AFRICA. SO PEOPLE, BEWARE OF DHL EXPRESS

22 May 2026, 11:00I received a call from one of DHL EXPRESS stuff, who was introduced to me as the Manager, by the name of Abram who categorically informed me that he will ensure that I do get my parcel until I pay R1900. 00 which is almost equal to the value of the sneakers I purchased from Farfetch. This was after I challenged him unto the fact why are such ridiculous custom fee don't apply at other dealers like Shein. In fact if shipping fee is to app****, it will reflect when making an order. He challenged me to loadge a complaint with CGSO, of which I would consider if my matter is resolved as a matter of urgency. I cannot allow DHL express to rip me off, not in the economy we find ourselves in as a country. And I still maintain that I will not pay R1900 for the delivery of sneakers worth R3200.
