AWB *** Case ***

I assist my son in running a small business importing specialty gym wear. Our overseas suppliers use DHL as their courier of choice. In this case a parcel containing 9 T- shirts and a pair of gym boots, arrived on the 18/01/15. Customs and duties were paid on the 19/01/15 and a commercial invoice and proof of payment requested by DHL, were supp**** on the 20/01/15. The parcel was stopped by customs for physical examination and it was found that 4 of the T-shirts, which had been supp**** as free samples, had not been declared as such. A voucher of correction for R1800 was issued and paid on the 30/01/15. Since then numerous e mails have been exchanged enquiring to the whereabouts of this package and we are continually being assured by personnel from DHL that they are trying to retrieve it from customs. Today is the 19/02/2015 and we still have no idea where the goods are. The other problem we have experienced in the past with similar delays, is that the content of the package has been interfered with and items are missing.
