10 days and still no parcel

<p>A gift was sent to me by my mother on the 14 th Of May, it took one day to travel from Saudi Arabia to Johannesburg, but its taking 10 days and counting to travel from Johannesburg to Durban. I can't understand the logic in that!</p> <p>On the 15th of May, a DHL consultant called and and asked for a proof of payment for the items purchased. I explained to him that it was a gift sent to me by mother. He asked me to send a letter explaining why I'm receiving this gift. I did send the letter the very same day explaining the reason for the parcel.</p> <p>I was then told that my box was sent to SARS for customs clearance and the turn around period was 5-7 working days. </p> <p>I was sent a message on Monday 22nd of May that an escalation list was sent to Sars regarding a follow up on my parcel. I contacted the consultant again today 24 May, and was rep**** with a copy and pasted message from Monday. </p> <p>I dont know why we bother to send things express, when we have to wait so many days for clearance. I have received many parcels in the past from other courier companies and I have never had such delayed terrible service. </p> <p> </p>
