Never trust private car sales

I have recently contacted a guy by the name Devon enquiring about an ad for a 2006 Volkswagen Polo white on Gumtree for R38000.<br> He said that he still has the car and that he could bring it to me from Plettenberg Bay to Port Elizabeth.<br> He needs a deposit which I then sent via Ewallet to his cell number ***).<br> He then later the afternoon told me that he can't get to me because he needs more money to buy petrol.<br> I said no because a R1000 is more than enough to drive twice the distance.<br> I tried numerous times to phone and ask where he is and why he is not returning back to me.<br> He said that he cannot make it and will refund me.<br> He wanted then my bank details and my full name and id number which I refused to give to him as he said he couldn't Ewallet the money back as it was blocked or something.<br> The whole thing is a lie.<br> <br> Devon has blocked my calls and obviously the police can't help me as they told me I need to go to small claims court.<br> So I just lost a R1000,00.<br> If you do see this ad ignore it and report it as it is a ****.<br> This guy is *****ing your money.
