Can you not sell enough hand wash legtimately?

We have 5 Dettol hand wash dispensers in our house, and each one simply starts dispensing all its contents when the batteries start running flat. Your soap is far too expensive to keep absorbing this cost so I'll now stop using them. These were bought quite some time apart - years in fact, in the hope that Dettol would at some point fix the issue, They haven't. I'm just wondering, are they *********** or is this \feature"built in so as to sell more product?"""
