Poor service

I am lodging this complaint to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding the handling of my seven-year-old son's safety and well-being at Destiny Charter School. Despite my previous encounters with the school's inadequate release policy, the school has failed to address these concerns.

Previous Incidents My son has been attending Destiny Charter School since grade 1. On three separate occasions, he left the school premises without the school's knowledge or my authorization. The first two incidents occurred when he was in grade 1, and he left school with the older boys from the same school. I addressed these incidents with my son and emphasized the importance of not leaving with strangers.

Recent Incident (Late January/Early February 2025) The most recent incident occurred when I was in the process of arranging for a new nanny to fetch my son from school. Although no formal arrangements had been made, the nanny apparently collected my son from school without my knowledge or consent. When I arrived at the school to fetch my son, I was informed that he was not there. I searched for him frantically and eventually found him with the nanny. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the school's release policy on Google Reviews.

Recently, the school principal summoned me to a meeting and questioned my decision to leave a negative review on Google. I explained that the school's failure to inform me about who fetched my son and the teacher's response ("She doesn't know") were unacceptable. I emphasized that the school has a responsibility to ensure children's safety while on their premises. The principal's tone was demeaning, and instead of apologizing for the school's shortcomings, she seemed to be addressing me on how I responded to the situation. I told the principal that i will not remove the negative review on Google and stood up to leave. The principal then told me to collect my son's transfer letter on my way out, implying that my son would be expelled. I am shocked and disappointed by the school's response to my concerns.
