Phantom Booking

On the 28/09/2017 I made a booking at Desroches Hotel in Margate . The booking was done via Booking.Com which also sent me a confirmation letter which a saved onto my mobile phone should there be any queries when I arrive at the establishment .

Upon my arrival after a long drive , I was informed that the booking was not valid . I then referred to the confirmation letter I was sent and told that they have been fully booked for the last two weeks and my booking was not valid .

The staff did try to find me alternative accommodation , which I knew was not going to be of the same standard and I politely declined .

At the 11th Hour I had to find alternative accommodation and pay almost double the amount I had initially planned to pay .

Extremely embarrassing situation to be put in by the Hotel and their counterparts Booking.com .

Thank you to their staff for trying to assist in this strange and horrible experience .
