Workmen's Compensation - Delayed (since last year September) Payment of rendered services by youth-owned private company

Good afternoon everyone,

I have had a terrible experience rendering a service for the Department of Labour - Workmens Compensation Fund. In September the year 2019, I was solicited to provide transcription services for the Workmens Compensation (Labour) Department. I was to transcribe a court preceding that was 5 hours and forty minutes long which I did and delivered in its final physical hardcopy and digital copy, along with the audio disc provided as a source. I made it clear the audio quality was awful and advised that I would need to use my audio expertise to clarify the audio before transcribing it.

Both tasks were tedious but eventually they were completed. A hardcopy of the document was submitted in an envelope together with the source disc. I also submitted the 102 page document in softcopy.

I have not receive payment until today, November 2020. I have sent emails pleading with them to make an appointment with me but my emails are ignored. I have also cc'd the *** but have not been assisted.

Earlier this year, around May, they called me to inform me that the reason I was not paid was because the work was not satisfactory. The issue was not the content per se but the manner in which the document began. It, like the audio disc that was provided, began with the words, "Thank you for the break..." which made my client find fault with my work on the premise that I did not ensure that the audio content started at the very beginning. Irrespective, the 5 hours and 40 minutes of audio content that was delivered to me was actioned into a 102 page long document. My argument is that I performed the work that was required of me. It was their responsibility to provide me with a comprehensive source document.

Today, I suffer because they attempt to shift the blame even though all that I was given was actioned accordingly. What's worse is that they simply ignore me, my emails, my calls, and I have had insufficient funds to make the trip to Pretoria from Johannesburg.

Hello Peter is my last resort. I wish I could actually find an international organisation that can hold our entire country to account for the many perils of *******ion. Their *******ion is beginning to affect even us the youth who sort to start businesses in light of there being no jobs available; yet even in business our payments are delayed, our morale is dropped and we lose faith in a country that can do this to its own people. I wish there was a higher authority than government, perhaps the very British Empire that holds South Africa and many others hostage as Commonwealth countries. This has really depleted my energies and my efforts to transform the broken African world and culture shall end in bitterness.

I commend anyone that can assist me in this endeavour that I may receive my due payment as well as a Letter of Completion. I have no issue making the necessary amendments but it does not make sense that such an urgent case would be placed on hold for over a year as well as the delay of making the necessary amendments. It does not make sense to me.

Living in South Africa no longer makes sense to me. It has populated my worldview and has made me very bitter as a human being.
