What is the use for us to contribute UIF and not benefit anything when we are in need or lost our jobs ?

I app**** for my UIF in November 2025 got approved and I requested the first payment on the 4th of December, upto date I’ve requested upto 3 payments and I’m still not paid.

I’ve reached a point where I don’t have food to put on the table for my family and struggling with all day to day and monthly financial obligations while I’m still looking for another job . Been to the UIF Pretoria Branch and I’ve called the UIF call centre more than 20 times , all they do is to tell me the same thing that my issue has been escalated and I will be paid , logged multiple complaints and follow up tickets. However until today I still haven’t received any form of payment from UIF

What is the the use for us to pay UIF when we are working when it doesn’t benefit us ?
