Unfair treatment of claiming UIF

On the 20th July 2021 I went to the labor department, with regards to my maternity claim. I was told to return after 14days as my claim was rejected due to late submission, they mentioned that they will appeal my case. I returned on the 11th August, I was told the supervisor was not in and I need to return on the 12th which I did. On the 12th August I returned to the labor department as requested I spoke to the supervisor and he told me my claim was only submitted on the 15th May 2021 yet I submitted all my documents on the 3rd of March. Since last year I've been going to their offices just to be told they will contact me which never happened, only for them to contact me this year asking me to submit my documents. I gave birth on the 17th of June 2020 and i was told that they need to verify my passport first its going to take four weeks but it took 10 months every time i go there they chase me away saying i must wait for their call. Now they are telling me my application is late, which is not my problem. This is pure negligence and ************** and I don't think it's fair that I have to face these consequences. And to make matters worse i was not given the case number. I really need help ***
