UIF PAYOUT AMOUNT LESS THAN 10%

I was recently paid a RETRENCHMENT CLAIM for u If and received R9000, on a gross AMOUNT of R60000. Years employed is 2 years 11 months. If this is correct, I paid more toward my uif deduction from my salary on a capped amount then the insurance pays out. Can someone please assist, u If centre in Germiston cannot help,they do not know why.
