UIF Payment awaited since August 2020

I made application for my UIF on the 24 August 2020. I then contacted UIF in December 2020 to find out what was happening as I had not had any feedback. I was told that the case had been escalated and that someone would contact me within 7 days. This never happened. I then contacted them at the beginning of January 2021 to be told exactly the same thing. I then contacted UIF again on the 25th January 2021 and was told that certain documentation was outstanding. This was the first time anyone had actually told me that there was still outstanding documentation. Thank heavens this lady gave me a direct link to which I should submit the documents and this was done on the same day. Today (03/02/2021), I again contacted UIF to find out when I could expect my first lot of UIF. I was told that they don't know when payment would be made!!!! How ridiculous! Every month I paid UIF (for 13 years) and yet now I must wait. People have been struggling over this COVID period and lost their jobs ... how are they expected to survive! Please could someone from UIF look into this and assist. Thank you.
